We have wanted to run sewing classes for such a long time, so when Sam Slator from The Sewing Loft in Chesham said that she was thinking of introducing workshops to her already fabulous mending and making business we absolutely jumped at the chance.
 
In this one-day workshop you will learn how to make a pair of pyjama bottoms. We've chosen these because they are a really terrific and versatile piece to start with. Once you have made one pair in our class you can go on to make more at home as gifts but also you can adapt your pattern to work for all fabrics, sizes or lengths or cut them off to make shorts... we were thinking yoga trousers with elasticated bottoms, nice warm snuggly full length for winter hibernation in front of the fire with a good book, kids summer shorts... there's so much scope with this one pattern under your belt to so speak!
 
Sam will gently guide you through everything from cutting out the pattern right through to the final touches to make your piece really yours, and if you finish your piece you can go on to have the opportunity to create a festive motif using your leftover pjs fabric to add to a t-shirt to create a fabulously festive pyjama set (which you could then repeat up for the whole family!).

What do you need to bring
Ideally please bring your own sewing machine (if this is a problem please contact us and we can supply one subject to how many people need one - first come first served!)
2.5m of a fabric of yoru choice (doesn't have to be Christmassy if you don't want it to!)
a packed lunch! we will supply unlimited hot drinks and will have some delicious home made cake but if you feel you'll need something more then please do bring a packed lunch with you
 
We will supply all other materials and will be in touch once you have booked your class to discuss your fabric, sizing requirements and what machine you have etc. Don't worry...we will hand hold you through the whole process if you have any concerns at all.

This class will only be able to go ahead if we have a minimum number of 5 guests. All of our teachers are highly skilled in their fields, but being an artist isn't always a well paid profession so we hope you understand why it's important that we ensure that our teachers can afford to run each of their classes. Should the class not be able to go ahead we will contact you no less than a week before the class is due to take place and full refunds will be issued.
